There are many advertisements directed at children, such as snacks, toys and other goods. Parents argue that children are under pressure. Advertisers claim that the advertisements provide useful information. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

1. 廣告可能會導(dǎo)致孩子們養(yǎng)成不健康的消費習(xí)慣和生活方式。

Advertisements targeting children will probably exert negative effects(帶來消極影響) on the development of their consumption habits, behaviors and lifestyles. Being unable to distinguish right from wrong, children, compared with adults, are more likely to be swayed (v. 影響某人想法) easily by advertisements with exaggerating slogans, bright colors and even deceiving information about products, thus making purchases without consideration or on impulse（一時沖動）, which is especially true when celebrities they admire are employed to endorse (v. 做廣告) a particular brand of goods, be they snacks or toys.

2. 一些針對兒童的快餐類廣告還可能會導(dǎo)致健康問題。

Advertisements aimed at（前一段targeting的同義替換） children are usually found to be those promoting products like fast food meals, which might cause some serious health problems. The reason is that the food advertised often is junk food rich in calories and fat, with little or no nutritional value, an excessive intake(過度攝入) of which will result in a series of diseases, ranging from obesity and diabetes to heart disease and diet disorder.

Well-made children-oriented(除了target, aim at 還可以這樣說) advertisements, sometimes regarded by consumers as a source of entertainment, are of high artistic and educational value. There are many advertisements about educational toys; Lego blocks and jigsaw puzzles, for example, can help to stimulate children's imagination and creativity.

2. 廣告提供產(chǎn)品信息，能夠幫助家長做出明智的購買決定。
Advertisements provide parents with plenty of information about products so that they can make prudent (adj. 謹(jǐn)慎的) and careful purchasing decisions. For example, some toys contain equipment not suitable for under 5s, or contents that might be considered a choking hazard（被噎住的危險）, or sharp. This kind of warning information is usually made clear in advertisements，therefore serving as an effective reminder when parents are shopping for toys.
