A costume drama called the Story of Yanxi Palace got really popular recently. It has become the perfect show for me and my family to watch after dinner. The show is set in the year six of Qianlong’s reign. Yingluo went into the Forbidden City as a maid to find the truth about her sister’s death. She believed that lord Hongzhou was involved and wished for revenge. Empress Fucha found out and helped her dispense with her hatred. After the death of empress Fucha, YingLuo became doubtful about emperor Qianlong. It took years for them to truly understand each other. Before her death, Yingluo told Qianlong the last words of empress Fucha, it was her that asked Yingluo to stay with him and help him to be a great emperor. In year sixty of Qianlong’s reign, Yingluo’s son became the crown prince and she was appointed as empress Xiaoyi. 

In the palace，good things and bad things are closely associated, and the plot twist and exquisite embroidery for their costumes were also the reasons why this period drama show fascinated me a lot and made me sit in front of the TV every night and watch it with my family.
