In terms of the police budget, with a marginal growth found in 2018, ‘National Government’ made the greatest contribution in both 2017 and 2018, with 175.5 million pounds and 177.8 million pounds respectively. Next came the ‘Local Taxes’, whose figure rose dramatically to 102.3 million pounds, approximately 11 million pounds more than that in 2017.

With regard to how the money was distributed, the years of 2017 and 2018 both witnessed that salaries offered to officers and staff constituted the largest portion, with the proportion dropping from 75% to 69%. In contrast, the investment in the technology saw an opposite trend. Although there was a rise of 6% in 2018, the figure remained the smallest. In addition, the spending on buildings and transport stabilized at 17% in both two years.
