Some people say that professional workers such as doctors, nurses and teachers who make greater contributions to the society should be paid more than those people in the field of sports and entertainment. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

      Introduction

It is true that stipend of skilled workers, ranging from practitioners and nurses to teachers  and engineers, is not on par with that of first-league celebrities in either sports or entertainment sector. Whereas there is still no consensus over justification for this stark contrast.

面對這個(gè)千年老題,烤鴨需冷靜對”greater contribution to the society”進(jìn)行具體對比論證。

? be on par with  與某物同等水平

      Body 1

Those advocating a higher pay for well-qualified workers argue that a competitive earning bears testimony to criticality of certain professions to a society, whose sustainable development is anchored in public health, education of next generation as well as public utilities. Catering for tangible living needs of general public, the above-mentioned sectors seem to cast a long shadow on euphoria elicited from pop culture or athletic performance that surpass all previous records. Further, it is worried that a low pay could throw cold water on pliable minds who are eager to embark on professional career paths where prolonged years of intense academic study is a prerequisite. There could be a disheartening sequel to a sapped enthusiasm; a shortage of labor pool in teaching, nursing, medical treatment or civil engineering could turn up.

      Body 2

However, it is absurd to devalue entertainment and sports worker whose performance is tailored to popular tastes, whether be rejoicing for creative arts or gusto for witnessing adrenalin-packed Super Bowl games. This excitement, being a getaway from one’s humdrum existence, could be scantly blanked out in societies which are already economically successful. Also, neglecting rarity of sports and showbiz professionals, standouts among a tiny fragment of population, is akin to renouncing their dwindling physical capacity and thus a relatively shorter career. That being said, a hefty pay is a vindication of complexity of their talent.

? That being said 所以/ 換句話說

? a hefty pay 高工資 hefty 大量的

      ? vindication of 證明 n.

      Ending paragraph

In conclusion, salary in this age is mainly determined by an occupation’s criticality, rarity, and complexity, and so-called unfair division of payroll is a gross exaggeration, when it comes to well-qualified labor and icons in sports and entertainment.

? is mainly determined by 主要被某物所決定

      ? a gross exaggeration 夸大其詞
