Serving as one of the essential driving forces for a country’s development in contemporary society, education, as far as the society is concerned, is supposed to center on business instead of history. I am all for accepting such a statement with the following strong grounds.

Admittedly, in no sense should we brush aside boons of history. By learning history, people can be fully informed about the evolution as well as the traditional culture of the country, with which they are more likely to develop a sense of belonging, disseminate and carry forward their own culture. Taking history as a mirror can also be of paramount importance to look into the future by shying away from making the same blunder. For example, when studying the civil war in the USA, people will be keenly aware that racial discrimination should be eradicated by giving the black equal rights and the hard-won peace, stability and tranquility would be cherished.

Ploughing into business courses, people can not only be equipped with business management and financial knowledge, but also be furnished with practice-based skills in terms of marketing and sales. In this case, playing an indispensable role in running a company, professional knowledge concerning business, in all likelihood, allows people to have easy access to securing themselves a decent job, achieving full employment in the society and creating more social wealth.
