The first step is that the solar panel, which is installed at the top of a post, collects solar energy. The panel consists of a grid of photovoltaic cells. As the energy is collected, it is converted to DC power. Then the DC power is transmitted to the bore pump – a mechanical device placed in the underground well and immersed in the water – and powers it. In addition, a small part of the well is above the ground level. At this step, the pump works, drawing the underground water up to an aboveground water tank through a zigzag pipe. The tank has a massive capacity and serves as a reservoir. Then, water is conveyed/transported to the village and its every household.

Overall, the entire process is not complex but rather simple.
