As an inseparable part of culture, language helps people understand more about it. However, learning a culture is likely to need way more than just improving language proficiency.

Thus, language learners always strive to be good culture learners, reading up on literature, where history, customs, and values, in other words, the phenomena peculiar to a given culture, are recorded. That is why some people regard language acquisition as the key to culture learning.

Those approaches seem more important and feasible to people who wish to experience diverse cultures considering the fact that few of them are capable of learning all the languages of the culture they are interested in.
