For some people, the most critical prerequisite for success is to receive a good education. However, there are other people, including me, believing that success does not always belong to those well-educated ones.

The definition of success, in most people’s eyes, must be the accumulation of material wealth. This, in many cases, is achievable with a fancy degree, as it is always education that expands the human mind with knowledge and hones their skills, guaranteeing that they are competent and qualified for a high-paying job. Not only this, but the educational qualifications can also put people on the path of self-exploration, another facet of being successful. The underlying idea is that reading, writing, and learning on the shoulders of great minds help spark ideas and unlock potentials, with which one could lead a successful life, not financially, but spiritually.

However, this is not always the case; otherwise, there would not be so many widely recognized people who have not actually received a decent education. These people’s achievements largely hinge on other elements, for example, their talents -deciding whether one could be a prominent artist, or their persistence and learning agility – characters that allow consistent self-improvement. Furthermore, sometimes, the higher the academic degree is, the more carefully people contemplate. Exactly because of this, well-educated people may behave hesitantly when facing new situations, whereas those less-educated are more straightforward. The time they bravely seize the chanceis when they outperform their competitors.

In conclusion, indeed, success is far from easily attainable without proper academic degrees. Yet, I have to reiterate that the degrees are not necessarily a guarantee of success, by which I mean it needs the combination of educational qualifications and other necessary qualities for one to blossom.
