一、什么時(shí)候使用舉例子
當(dāng)文中的觀點(diǎn)是名詞復(fù)數(shù)，抽象或概括性的名詞時(shí)，可以用具體的實(shí)例（代表性、典型性）來(lái)進(jìn)一步支持或是說(shuō)明觀點(diǎn)。
二、舉例子時(shí)易犯的錯(cuò)誤
1）例子不具備代表性
很多考生喜歡用自己或是自己的家庭，國(guó)家做例子。這樣的例子是過(guò)于片面的，沒(méi)有典型性普遍性。若是一定要用自己來(lái)做例子，可以把自己擴(kuò)大到一類人，把自己的家庭擴(kuò)大成一類家庭，把自己的國(guó)家擴(kuò)大成一類國(guó)家，這樣才有足夠的說(shuō)服力。

2）例子的字?jǐn)?shù)過(guò)多且例子與觀點(diǎn)無(wú)關(guān)聯(lián)性
舉例子可以是一句話一個(gè)例子，或一句話幾個(gè)例子，也可以是好幾句話一個(gè)例子。但是，議論文里的例子千萬(wàn)不要長(zhǎng)篇大論，若是好幾句話寫(xiě)一個(gè)例子，不要把例子寫(xiě)成流水賬。還有，舉的例子要能說(shuō)明自己的觀點(diǎn)，舉完例子后加一句話說(shuō)明例子與觀點(diǎn)之間的聯(lián)系。
題目：Some people feel that sports stars are paid too much money. Do you agree or disagree?
觀點(diǎn)：I think the high salary of sports stars is reasonable.
展開(kāi)：Take Liu Xiang, a famous athlete in China, for example, he was talented in running and was selected in the National Sports Team when he was still a child. After intensive training and huge pressure, he finally won championship in 2008 Olympic games. However, he cannot hold his top position long and was replaced by the younger generation.

3）例子可信度不高
舉例子的時(shí)候可以使用數(shù)據(jù)信息作為例子，但是需要注意兩點(diǎn)：數(shù)據(jù)和數(shù)據(jù)的來(lái)源（數(shù)據(jù)法）。數(shù)據(jù)的真實(shí)性不重要，但至少要看上去是"真實(shí)可信的"。

使用數(shù)據(jù)論證，千萬(wàn)不要刻意將數(shù)據(jù)夸張，這樣反而會(huì)降低數(shù)據(jù)的真實(shí)可靠性。常見(jiàn)的句型有"a survey by….shows that / a research by….finds out that / a study by….suggests that / Statistics by….conclude that…"省略號(hào)的部分是需要根據(jù)文章的內(nèi)容來(lái)填寫(xiě)的數(shù)據(jù)來(lái)源出處或機(jī)構(gòu)。
常用的機(jī)構(gòu)包括：國(guó)外大學(xué)、學(xué)院、報(bào)紙、雜志、電視臺(tái)、電臺(tái)、網(wǎng)站、研究機(jī)構(gòu)、民意調(diào)查等。我們按順序給大家做一個(gè)示范：the University of Sussex, Business College of several European countries, the USATODAY, state media CNN, BBC Talking Point等。
4）杜絕中式諺語(yǔ)：不要硬性翻譯中式諺語(yǔ)，外國(guó)諺語(yǔ)可以考慮，但也不可泛濫。
三、舉例論證的標(biāo)志表達(dá)
